Is there any way to make a permanent copy of a program recorded on my DVR?

If you have a VCR or DVD recorder, just connect the outputs on your STB to the inputs on your VCR/DVD recorder. Then play your DVR recorded material and press record on your VCR/DVD recorder, set to INPUT, or whatever source you connected it with.
