I'm moving stuff around and rewiring my home theater.  Before I had my STB's hooked up with both Coax and CAT5, but is there any reason to have the CAT5 hooked up, any advantage?

Any INPUT on the boxes is disabled, as well as the USB ports, and the ethernet ports.

The reason these ports are on the boxes in the first place, is because the boxes are manufactured and produced by Motorola.  They put these ports on the boxes incase one of the companies that purchase them, want to use them.  Most companies find it to big of a hassle to utilize them, so they just keep them disabled.  Most of the times, they aren't even wired up to the STB's motherboard.
