You assume too much Rudy81. It's not fixed where I live. Read the thread title again and notice the word "intermittent".

BTW, where is the thread about the extremely annoying motion stutter that I've had to live with for oh about 3 years now? Three different STB's, SD or HD, it doesn't matter. Smiley Mad

We too have noticed that the problem is close to being resolved. We now rarely see the issue.  Sure am glad they fixed this.  What an annoying issue....just goes to show how we have become addicted to instant response from electronics.

Sorry, but it is NOT fixed. For a few days the problem seemed to get better then last night and this morning BAM, over a minute to change the channel.

I spoke too soon also.  The intermittent channel delay is still present.  It took almost 1 minute to change to a different news channel on election night tonight.  Still very annoying, and it has been over two weeks since the Verizon employee stated that this issue should improve in a couple of weeks.  On top of this, many times when Verizon displays local advertising commercials, my TV loses sync (screen goes black, and my input ID, "hdmi-1", gets displayed on the top of the screen), and then loses sync again when normal programming returns.  There is no smooth transition between normal channel programming and local advertising commercials.  My Verizon 7232 DVR is hiccupping. Fixed for me, none of the previous delays and hangs for over a week now. Only issue I still have is that occasionally the DVR will miss a channel up/down change, when that happens the LED never blinks, I have to hit the up or down again, it always seems to recognize the second press. But other than that, all is back to very good. So Verizon has apparently figured out what the problem is and how to fix it.

The only thing that's apparent to me is that this message board is more about me me me than it is about posting accurate information.

You kids have fun.

Excerpts from earlier RPW messages:
Message One:

... I too am very frustrated with ... my FiOS TV service ... I notice that ... this thread is marked as resolved .... I see a FiOS tech has posted what we should believe is the cause ... I know Verizon's track record so I take those comments with a great deal of skepticism ... see what I mean.

Message Two:

... I live ... just east of you ... the issue wasn't happening to me .... on Monday night ... I was changing the channel ... and it just sat there ... I don't get my hopes up ... I would caution you to take the same approach ... tell me again why this thread is marked as solved? ... I'm impressed

Message Three:

... It's not fixed where I live ....  annoying motion stutter that I've had to live ...

And Finally, Message Four:

The only thing ... apparent to me is that this message board is ... about me me me ...

It's not hard to see how you might get that impression.

I had nearly 2 weeks of no delays but tonight it froze during the first channel change after the box was turned on. This freeze lasted nearly 1 full minute. Since it was previously doing this every day, I'm guessing Verizon is shutting down some of the ads causing the problem but we may not be 100% fixed till the next IMG is released. When was that expected release date again ?

Hi all fellow FiOS people. I have not been able to find a thread that exactly is applicable to my issue - but this one seems like it is looking at a very similar problem. That is...on my remote box (I have a multi-room DVR and one remote box) the picture is freezing (every 3 or 4 minutes). I then hit stop, enter, play and it works fine for another 3 or 4 minutes. I called FIOS about a month ago, and they did the usual resetting of things routine - but no change. I'm thinking that there is a bug in the technology somewhere and that this is just the way it is at this time in the evolution of the boxes, software, etc. Anyway...any info on this issue that anyone has on this thread would be appreciated.
