I have had this problem on all of the small boxes in our apartment.  Verizon came out three times ... checked every connection, changed the router, tested all of the lines.  Then it stopped for two weeks.  Now it has started again.  It is so frustrating.  I think it must have something to do with the signal / software on Verizon's end.  If I hear a tech tell me one more time to clean the coax cable I think I'm going to scream ...
