I rely on my Favorites list as a convenience so I can get to certain TV stations a lot quicker without having to scroll down a whole list of other stations in between that I never care for, particularly with the triple digit stations. But as of this morning, I have noticed that for 3 stations that I have as my Favorites, 52 TBS, 120 Discovery, and 130 Animal Planet, the HD versions of those stations are now automatically tacked on to the bottom of my list, 1502, 1503, 1565, etc. which I don't even want. If I delete the 1500 stations from yy favorties, that now automatically deletes the station's standard version from my Favorties list so if I delete the Discovery Channel HD version from my list, that automatically gets rid of the regular version 120 and so forth.
Is this a system glitch or can somebody help me resolve this? It's annoying because I don't see any discernable difference at all between the regular station and its HD "counterpart". It's minor but it's more garbage to deal with that I don't need.

I just found and tried the solution posted by a Verizon employee on the thread about not being able to use the "C" option for switching to HD. It will resolve your problem with these unwanted HD stations on your favorites list:
Scroll all the way down to the post put up by AKG employee. Rebooting my STB didn't do any good but fast forwarding my guide to 03/30/12 resolved it. He also says that even if you don't do anything, the issue will correct itself by 11AM tomorrow.
I am having a similar issue though worse then yours. I woke up today to find my favorite list looking like a butcher had hacked away at it. Not only was it full of HD channels (something I don't need and never want since I've seen HD and it doesn't look better in my opinion) I was also missing all the channels I watch that don't have HD versions. Can we please get this fixed since I too don't want to deal with extra stuff I don't need or want.
I spent the next 3 hours trying to only remove the HD channels and going through and finding all the channels the system decided to delete. I found out that if i did try to remove the HD channels it would also remove the non-HD channels.
Yep, that's exactly what I had with mine as well. I was also missing other channels that I had programmed on the list that I had to add once again to the list, thought not every single one of them. I even reset my set top box twice, which didn't make any difference. I don't think I spent 3 hours fooling with the list but that's basically the same thing that happened with me. Now I have the same Favorites list as before only now with these HD stations linked to my regular stations that I don't even want.
Also having the same problems as you guys. Removing the 1500+ channels also removes the regular numbered channel.

I got a slightly different problem. Some channels are disappearing from my Favorites list, namely the Nick series, Cartoon Netwrok, and Boomerang. I had to add them back yesterday and today. They appear on "All Channels" but won't stay on my Favorites. My HD channels all look fine, at least at first glance.
So what's up with the quirks anyway?
Same here channels are disappearing! Even after I readd them. Whats up verizon you guys working on a patch?
That's odd. I had some channels disappear too but I was able to re-add them without a problem.
Maybe rebooting your set top box will help. Did you fast forward the guide to 3/30/12?
Speed, ESPN, ESPN2, Velocity, etc., all HD, disappeared.
Mine have been fine since I added them back a second time. I also used the fast forward suggestion, bringing me up to April 2. Initially, doing a STB reboot didn't work. Fast forwarding seems to be the right solution. I'd guess that it's because it reloads our Favorites data.
