This is not a Verizon issue. PIRATES is not available for purchase from osteaming sites (such as Vudu, Roku, etc) until November 15. Studios are doing this for the very same reason that they hold back rentals from Netflix, Redbox, etc. And it is the same reason that even when it does become available on disc, it is stripped of extended cuts, commentaries, and other extras. The studios are hope to force consumers to purchase and not rent!. And this may be getting worse going forward....Warner Bros (the leader in screwing the consumers) is now going to try and hold back disc rentals of new releases for 68 days!! This is pure greed...nothing more. Nothing Verizon can do about the studio mandates.
film11, I didn't know that. I just don't understand why someone from Verizon couldn't answer that in the first place when that question was posted here in the beginning. I figured it had to do with greed anyway.
We tried to rent Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides. It is only available in HD and Spanish. I don't remember going through customs! I am going to check with mu=y Comcast friends and if they have it I am gone!
