i just got an email saying MNET was being removed from fios extreme. i'm really getting disappointed with verizon removing channels at a seemingly increased pace.MNET is a great channel!
I agree. This was one of my favorite channels, and to hear that I will be losing it soon is really depressing me.
I had no idea they were cancelling Mnet until I turned to the channel this week. I am also disappointed that Verizon keeps cancelling these niche channels. First Funimation and now this.

MNET is NOT canceled, it is still available if you're an Ultimate subscriber.
I am wondering why mnet was removed from Fios extreme. I am considering cancelling my Fios all together since this happened. I was hoping they were return it to the package it was originally part of. This means cancelling my phone and wifi as well. I just do not want a company that pulls channels out from under its users. At least give me the option to order the channel ala carte!
It's very simple... Verizon is removing the least viewed packages from Exteme to pay for new additions like BBC HD, Longhorn Network in Texas etc.. If the mnet channel is that great then upgrade to Ultimate and you get it. Personally I'm glad Verizon is removing the least watched shows on exteme so they add new HD channels without huge rate increases.
Far more people would be furious if Verizon jacked up the Exteme package by $10 or if they chose not to add BBC HD etc.

Sorry but EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY cable and satellite company does this. I agree it is a lousy thing to do but there is nothing you can do about it. Threatenting to leave isn't going to make a hill of beans difference, like I said they ALL do it..
And ala carte will never ever happen, not that the cable companies are against it but the channel providers are.
