when i turn my tv on i get the black verizon fios screen saver. In other words, every time i turn the tv on, I am prompted to press the "menu" button on the FIOS clicker to access the TV. SO, when I try to record a show using my TIVO, it records this screen saver only and not the show. is there a way to fix this? thanks

The screensaver displays whenever your TV is on but the STB is off. You need to set your remote to turn on both your STB and TV when you press "power."

wow. this forum is so much more helpful than the verizon phone techs. "sorry, ma'am, that's a tivo issue. can't help you..." thanks again
