ok, here's the situation..we are watching Dark Knight and take a quick break (since its so long)...3 minutes later and the **bleep** movite shuts off. We have 50 minutes left in the movite BUT get sent BACK to the start. The slow fast forward SUCKS and its now taking us...15 minutes to fast forwarding back to where we were....
terrible feature and a total train wreck...
once we finish the movie, we'll be canceling FIOS.
If we are doing something wrong, please let me know how to fix it.

same thing happened to me
Paused a movie -- it timed out -- I ordered the movie in HD - it would only allow me to rewatch in SD
and, just like you, had to start from the beginning with a whopping speed of 2X to get to where I was
when I paused the movie. and... in my case, I couldn't go backwards to rewatch.... and I paid for this..
VERY frustrating

While I had not heard of only being able to continue an HD movie in SD, or being unable to rewind, the forced restart after timeout is a known issue. The slow fast forward is a known issue. There are postings for this all over the forums. The fix was promised about a year ago. Everyone is still waiting. To make it even more frustrating, the amount of time to pause a movie before timeout has actually decreased. It is now nearly impossible to pause, go do anything, and get back before timeout. Thus compounding the problem by increasing the likelihood that you will be starting over.

VERIZON Please please fix this issue. I rent and buy lots and lots if movies every month. My average bill is $250.00 a month. $100.00+ of my bill is from movie rentals and purchases. This fast foward issue is old and I'm getting to the point where I'll change service if we don't get a fix. More people complain more about this than you propbably know. Give your customers what they want!! And if you want to charge extra for it then bring it!
