How do you hide the tablet keyboard. Shouldn't just prompting the component keyboard hide the tablet keyboard?

Finally got answer from the tech dept tat supplies products to Verizon They showed me the apps that are avail at playstore that will add aa prog that hides the tablet keyboard. The NULL app worked fine. After its installed, at settings/language/keyboards is wher you need to designate the component keyboard, not google (tablet keyboard), which you might need to designate back to another day.
