Set up wizard popped on when tablet was turned on. If I go through the prompts it will erase all my pictures and videos. How do I stop it? (I did not click on it or turn it on to set it up.)

Setup wizard is usually only intiated on a factory reset or can be accessed through settings on some devices....
Usually you can just skip through the setup wizard and it has nothing to do with deleting content on device, unless as I initially stated-- a factory reset was performed to cause the setup wizard to popup.
No factory reset was initiated. We have 2 identical tablets, and about 2 weeks ago, this happened to the first tablet, and a few days ago, this happened to the second one:
Turned tablet on to use it, and set up wizard has already been initiated. It asks for "language" (English?) and then wants to go through all the steps to set up the tablet. It erased all the photos and videos on the first tablet.
Just want to by-pass or turn off set up wizard.
So frustrating.
Ah, gotcha-- so it isn't the setup wizard that is the issue then... It sounds as if the device is doing a factory reset on its own which causes the setup wizard to start after it has already been "wiped".

I would be concerned too if this happened to my tablets. Which model Ellipsis do you have? Was there a recent software update or new application installed? What happens if you power it off and then back on?
