Just started today. Happens when I do pretty much anything: open an email, delete an email, try to "download remaining" (which sometimes just makes the email go blank), attempt to delete deleted email (that process is just *stupid*!). I have tried restarting email, and the tablet.

That is acting very strangely for sure! Who is the provider for this email account? Have you tried to remove the account and add it back in as new?

I am having the exact same problem as of a couple of days ago, using the built in IMAP access for my yahoo mail. It just started happening with no warning. If it's not resolved I'll just have to go with the yahoo mail app instead.
This last KitKat update is total junk. never had issues with anything until KitKat was updated.

Gmail works so why bother with uninstalling and reinstalling. I am just switching to using Gmail and removing email from my home screen. Problem solved.

That is definitely a great option as well! Please give that a try, and let me know if your email is working correctly now. AlfredoR_VZW
