I have tried to download PDF files from various websites, and keep getting a message that says "cannot view PDF. whateverfile.pdf is not a valid format" I have other pdf in my download file, so I must have been able to download PDF files in the past...very frustrating!!
You can download them, but you also need a pdf viewer installed on the tablet to be able to open and view them. Google PDF Viewer - Android Apps on Google Play or something similar will do the job.
