I turned off my ellipsis 7 when i upgraded to a 10, i still use my 7 from time to time via wifi. How can i get it updated without hooking it up to verizon?
You can't; the Ellipsis 7 won't update over wi-fi, it needs to be connected to VzW's network.
We understand having the most recent software available is important, bediana53. Without your device being connected to our network, you won't be able to get the newest software update available. You can always activate this device on your account, and update it. After the update is finished, you can activate your new Ellipsis 10 back. We want to make sure that a software update is available before attempting this option.
