Uh oh! Definitely hate it when that happens. Being that the Ellipsis 8 is an Android device you may be able reset the password with Android Device Manager online here https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=androidconsole&passive=3600&continue=https%3A%2F%2F.... If you have not set up this feature in the past then you may need reset the device completely http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-146202/.
