Hi,
I have been a customer for over 15 years.
I traded in my cell phone a year ago, not realizing and shame on me, that there is no such thing as a free trade-in.
With that said, my husband and I are both over 55 and are unable to take advantage of a senior account without forfeiting our trade-in allowance.
However, when I switched to the 55+ plan earlier this month, I wasn't told that I would be receiving an email warning that I would loose the credit.
I was forced, this morning, to switch my plan, obviously that would mean more money to Verizon. After 50 minutes of phone time, I was forced to make a switch and will be paying $15 more a month. I hope there are no more surprises to come.
I consider this age related discrimination. Please do not offer a plan for senior citizens that will leave out phone trade-in offers.

Discounts of any sort aren't "stackable", so it isn't just you as others have posted about losing something or another when they changed something with their plan.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
