I received a call from a Verizon rep who offered me the free Samsung trade in deal on my old phone. I accepted and now have an $800 charge on my bill. When I called I was told my phone didn't qualify for that promotion. Except, that was not what I was told when I accepted the offer. I specifically asked that question and was told yes.I
I called customer service and was told too bad. The only recourse was to initiate an "investigation" which May or May not satisfy the problem.
What company does business like this? Tell the customer one thing and then deliver another- with an $800 price tag?

I am trying to private message, but I don't know how to send it to you. You name comes up several different times. The phone was a Samsung Galaxy S20 - the promotion that's been all over the TV the last 6 weeks.
Thank you for responding.

Verizon has no regard for their customers, no recourse or accountability.
I went to upgrade my phone from 7 plus to 14 pro. Was told I was getting a $350 credit. Turns out the 14 pro was permanently out of stock. Cancelled order and ordered a pro 15. Was told I would still get the trade in credit. Then then listed on the order estimated trade in $10.
Tried to resolve this or get clarity and all they kept trying to do was play games. Wanted me to cancel my current line and get a new one in order to get a credit. They're so greedy for a sale, they'll irresponsibly cancel your # regardless of the fact that will cause so much havoc for you with a new # I really feel they have no concern for their customers and act like a sleazy used car sales organization. Never got a clear answer on what's going on with my trade in and once they get it, good luck getting back your device when they decide it's only worth $10 to them.
