I have been with Verizon for 19 years. I went to upgrade my phone and they put a fraud hold on my account. When I called from my verified phone and tried to remedy the situation the woman at the fraud department was very rude and said the order was cancelled and I would have to wait 1 month to place a new order. The other representative on the line was shocked and even kept apologizing for my treatment knowing I was a long term customer. I was already unhappy with recent changes to my business account, however being treated dismissively after years of loyalty we will be looking for a new service provider. I understand fraud is important but treating customers as criminals is not a way to run a business.

Someone made a phone call and disconnected my phone line and opened and purchased a new phone in our account, they didnโt call in on a recognized device and were able to make all sorts of changes via the call center. When my husband and I tried to straighten it out they spoke to us as we were in the wrong and that we were criminals, they also expect us to pay for the fraudulent activity on our account. Once we get our 1200 that is due to us we will be switching providers to a company with better morals.
