Gift cards

I switched to Verizon (from xfinity)  after talking to a Verizon agent in store. I was completely happy with xfinity but wanted to upgrade phones for myself, wife and 2 kids and was told I would get a $200 gift card for each phone I traded in (for a total of 4 $200 cards) for switching. Primarily because of this deal I decided to switch. She said the cards would show up digitally in my Verizon app. It is now 3 months later and I have not received them. After stopping into the store several times and  talking to a representative on the phone, I still did not get my cards. This is very disappointing. Whether I end up getting them or not, the directions should have been made clear and this process should have been easy. I feel like I was duped. Was going to cut the chord and use Verizon home internet but that is obviously not going to happen. Ironically, I have a fairly large position in Verizon stock. Not surprisingly (after dealing with this), that stock has performed badly since I bought after the Covid crash. Will be selling shortly and looking to switch cell carriers again.

That's definitely a lot of money and I can see what an influence it had in your decision to switch. We're going to do everything we can to make sure you get those rebates. We're sending you a Private Message so we can better help you.

Still don’t have my gift cards (or get any closer to getting them). My ‘private message’ was useless. I was told to click on a link that didn’t work. This is ridiculous.

To all asking about the $200 switcher rebate: The user below put some great tips in the attached thread and did manage to get their rebate after some time.  Why Verizon can't simply credit the customer's account with the rebate as soon as you switch to Verizon is beyond me.  Using some kind of puzzle process to get promos to work just causes frustration when some pieces were left out, missing, etc.?  Come on, Verizon.  Surely your system must show if a line was ported in.  Why is that not sufficient for you to give the switcher rebate?

P.S. - If you ported in as a prepaid customer, you are NOT eligible for this rebate or any others.  It has to be a postpaid line.
