How do I cancel my Verizon internet - I have TWO DEFECTIVE boxes and a Wi-Fi Extender and the speed is STILL TOO SLOW!

I have tried for over 6 months to stay with Verizon for internet, and I am DONE!

My first box was defective, so I was sent another one (with no return label in the box as promised).  The new box doesn't work any better than the old one.  I called three more times for a RETURN LABEL for the first box, and never did receive it.

After calling back a couple weeks ago, the Verizon representative told me straight out that the 2nd box was refurbished as well as the first one.  He then mailed me a Wi-Fi extender box.  This is not helping either, not one bit.

The internet speed is just not strong enough.  I work from home and I want to cancel the service and return ALL equipment IMMEDIATELY.  You have logs of MANY MANY calls regarding connection issues and there should be NO CANCELLATION FEES due to the service has never ever been right.

SOMEONE CONTACT ME PLEASE ON HOW TO CANCEL.

I do not want to put my e-mail on here for the world to see.

Sorry to hear the home internet service isn't going so well. The slow speeds you're experiencing may be due to a lot of traffic on the network, as the internet cube is running off the cell phone towers and it used to be (not sure now) that data-only plans (the internet cube falls into this category) were also deprioritized to cell phone traffic.

Check your My Verizon account to see if there's something in there to print a return label yourself because from what I've read in the forums, it's a hassle to get a return kit mailed to you.  If this option is available, print the labels (see below) yourself before you disconnect service, because if you only have this one service from Verizon, all your login access will be revoked as soon as you cancel.

If you still have the first internet cube plus the new one, send each one back in a separate box with separate labels so they don't get lost in the shuffle with 2 items being under one tracking number.   Otherwise you run the risk of Verizon telling you later that they didn't get one of the things back and then you get hit with a non-returned equipment fee.  They want the Wi-Fi extender back too, so put the single Wi-Fi extender in with one package containing one of the internet cubes and its power supply.

To actually cancel the service, call Verizon during business hours.  See the link below for more information:

We're sorry to read that you're having issues with your service. What speeds are you getting? Was there a change in the performance? ~Peter
