I traded in my iPad Pro for $228. I received an email stating that the estimate given was correct and that I should expect an email what my e-gift card in 2 weeks. I never received it. I contacted customer service through chat, and they immediately issued the e-gift card. However, when I try to use it to pay my balance due, it says the pin is invalid. I have been on the phone and/or chatting for 6+ hours, and no one can help me. I have been given phone numbers that lead nowhere; others tell me it's a rebate issue and I should call the rebate line. When I do, the automated system won't let me speak to anyone because - you guessed it - the pin is invalid and hangs up immediately. I came on this message board seeing that others have the same issue and saw that one rep had suggested sending an email to [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service], so I did that, but it's been weeks, and I haven't got an email back.
I am beyond frustrated. Why can't someone issue me a new e-gift card that works? Or apply the credit to my account and then void my e-gift card. My family has been a customer of Verizon for decades, and I can't believe that I have to spend so much of my time to get Verizon to hold up their end of the trade-in agreement. Someone in Verizon, please take care of this issue!
