Port out lock from t-mobile

JustSomeFellow3-6-9-

I tried it in my equipment from T-Mobile as soon as I did, my phone stopped ringing, I stopped getting text messages. I could only call people on the Verizon network. I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. Apparently there was a port out lock from T-Mobile the closest authorized T-Mobile store is two hour one-way trip. I have been on the phone talking to representatives from both companies and I literally just got my phone on Monday and I got an iPad Pro as well as the phone. Iโ€™m collecting unemployment and looking for work, my rรฉsumรฉ obviously has my phone number on that was supposed to be poured it out. Iโ€™ve been working on this issue for over a week almost with no resolution. Also tied to that phone number is cryptocurrency money, various accounts I cannot receive text messages. I canโ€™t receive phone calls. I can make phone calls, but thatโ€™s it

Hi, sorry to hear your port is stuck in limbo.  When a port won't finalize, you can make outgoing calls, but incoming calls don't work because they are going through the old carrier so are stuck in some kind of purgatory.

Verizon's Porting Department can be reached 888-844-7095.  Since it's been more than a week, they may have to completely redo the port, in which case you will need a new transfer PIN from your old carrier since transfer PINs expire after just a few days.  Other reasons why things may not be working is if they have to manually push through the activation on an eSIM (eSIM only phones can be finicky to activate) or otherwise finagle with something on Verizon's side.

Something weird which happened with me when I ported out of Verizon briefly was the sales guy at the other place kept on leaving off the letter on my Verizon prepaid account when trying to do the port in as a postpaid customer there.  So then my phone kept on getting texts "We're having difficulty porting your number in"...until I told him to try inputting the whole account number including the letter ("But it always works with just the numbers!").  Then - bam! - it worked like a charm when he put in the whole thing.  But in retrospect, probably should've just let him keep doing it wrong because that ended up being a horrible mistake which had me coming back to Verizon in less than a week. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sorry for the digression, but in any case I sure hope things get straightened out soon.  Also wish you the best of luck on your job hunt.  I've been there a few times myself and it's work just to find work.
