Yesterday our Direct TV box went out. We called for service and a repair man came to work on it. While he was there, the doorbell rings and an AT&T representative is on my porch "to discuss lowering my cable and also my Verizon telephone bill. After an hours long discussion, I am told I can get $800 credit on each of my family members Iphone 12 or above devices, and slightly less $600, for my Iphone 11. He c.an also lower our Direct TV bill by $150 dollars a month. He continues to say I would still receive the same service I currently have with Verizon. We would pay for the remainder of the cost of our new phones by adding about $3.00 a month after he already quoted me a reduced payment of $173 a month. I currently own all of our devices and pay Verizon $216 a month. There are no contracts or activation fees. The AT&T person would also be our personal representative and would deliver all of our new phones, set them up and return our old devices as well as talk to the Direct tv people to fix our cable bill. I 've been a Verizon customer for 24yrs, but frankly this sounds terrific to me. Verizon does absolutely nothing to keep me as a customer. I have a week to decide before the AT&T person texts me for a decision. Thoughts?

Update! Verizon came through! I started clicking on the offers for a new phone that run along the top of the app and soon I was connected to a chat representative. I’m not gonna lie, the offers weren’t anything special at first, but I kept getting disconnected with the person I was working w for one reason or another, and as luck would have it, I was finally connected on the phone with the nicest happiest man named Morgan that gave me a special Verizon longtime customer promotion and I received a brand new iPhone 14 today! He was a total rock star. I’m really happy I stayed loyal. The AT&T rep texted me yesterday to see if I had any more questions on his offer and I told him Verizon made me a smokin hot deal so I was staying. I also told him my mom was an AT&T customer and she needed some assistance w her bill. … but guess what? No reponse! Guess I’ll tell my mom to try Verizon!

I tell ya I've had verizon for 22 years and they are absolutely refusing to bend on certain things. I just walked out of an at&t and had a great conversation. We shall see what happens. But I've spent hours on the phone with verizon and they just refuse to be helpful.
