Trade In Promo Issue

Has anyone had issues with the device trade in promo? First, my online order got messed up up as I did not receive trade submission email. Then I was told to submit another trade in submission and $800 and $700 credit will be applied once the phones received and ignore the $90 and $40 value as posted. Now I have been constantly contacting for status and now they don't want to honor it. It is very frustrating. I do have the order number showing the trade in values.

Above is my order with device promotion credit that I was suppose to receive.  But when I submitted my devices, I was offered way less amount and one of the phone they said different IMEI number though I submitted the correct one.  I feel like Verizon did a bait and switch as well as honoring the trade in any device..whether device is broken or not.

Can someone from Verizon resolve this issue?

I had a similar issue, only, rather than submitting a new trade-in, we went to our local Verizon store where the manager was able to help us. Chats and phone calls did nothing for us.

To be fair, this was only within the last month so I don't know if we'll lost the promotion at a later date, but currently, we are receiving the promotion.

I went to the Verizon store and they said that I had to contact customer support.  It's on-going back and forth.   At least the store agent, recognized that I'm not receiving my credits when I showed him the documents.

I have been on the phone multiple times trying to resolve getting promo credit for trade-in for IPhone 12 that was ordered online and picked up at the store.  The promo credit promised was $16.67 per month for new line and $150 switcher rebate but no one seems to be able to fix the $16.67 per month promo credit issue despite MULTIPLE calls.  I sent this particular phone in the same box as other 3 phones that were traded at the same time and this appears to be part of the issue but I can't understand why this problem can't be fixed!

Hi, Hpk7996. We are glad to see that you've upgraded and I certainly share your concerns with receiving your trade-in value. As one trade-in kit is generated and assigned for each phone, we specifically mention not to send multiple devices within the same trade-in kit, as each kit is meant for only one phone. Sending multiple devices will only cause delays and potentially invalidate you from a promotion.-Lorenzo

I also was defrauded out of my $700 per phone rebate from a 2021-07-19 switch and trade-in. The promotion did not restrict condition of phone or age of phone.  Before I submitted and sent the phones, I called to confirm that the $700/phone rebate would be honored because the system was not reflecting that rate. I was assured that both phones qualified for the $700/phone rebate and to submit using the online system even though the rates were only $46 and $154.  We only received $46 and $154 in account credit. I called to have the issue rectified but was given the run-around. I came to the forum and noticed that this type of concern appears to be an ongoing issue for Verizon. Clearly, Verizon needs to invest in their rebate system so that the promotions are reflected properly.

After nearly a decade of rebate fraud complaints, why hasn't Verizon made such an investment? Could it be because the company is happy to defraud its customers out of rebate money?

I called the 844-408-8470 number to speak with someone from the Switch team and nobody answered. It rang half a dozen times and then a recording indicated that nobody was available and disconnected the call. I did this multiple times. So please don't bother suggesting that I resolve the issue by calling there.

I understand that Verizon employees are in a horrible situation by having to deal with unsatisfied customers because of a fraudulent practice that is obviously part of the company's business model. I could never perform the job that your team performs. But please, for the love of dog, apply the $1200 rebate balance due to my account, escalate my complaint to someone that can, or provide me with the names and contact information of the persons at Corporate that are in charge of the rebate program and your system infrastructure.

Thank you, in advance, for your attention to this matter.

I applaud Verizon able to resolve one trade in submission.   Unfortunately, the second trade in submission has NOT been resolved.  I have provided IMEI and UPS tracking number via private email as requested, for couple weeks no response regarding the status of the second trade in submission/device credit to my account.

Same here!  I upgraded 2 phones with trades.  The first phone was handled correctly, but the 2nd was a total debacle.  After 6 weeks I'm still trying to get it fixed.  I "email chatted" with a representative yesterday who assured me it would be corrected, but I'm not holding my breath.  Apparently they are having some serious internal issues at Verizon.

I'm feeling the same way.  It has been frustrating for me from the time I switched over to Verizon doing it on-line as I had issues with porting numbers as well as the device trade in rebates/credits.  The first device trade in credit took weeks (phone, chat, community) to resolve but it did get resolved.  Unfortunately, the second device trade in credit hasn't been resolved yet.   I'm not sure what the issue is as I have provided information and I had hopes when first one got resolved.

I’ve been having colossal trouble with the same issue. I sent in my trade in the first week of November and was told it would be reviewed and appraised within a month. I never heard another thing. Virtually every evidence of the transaction was impossible to find on my account. I have come to the conclusion that Verizon is intentionally trying to deprive people of their rightful money. Whenever I sent in a email inquiry about it I kept getting the same message: “More information needed.” No matter how many times I requested the specific information needed I just got that same reply,“More information needed,”eight times in a row! I finally received some satisfaction by scheduling a phone call and spending about 15 minutes on the phone with some representative who seemed relatively clueless. I eventually was told that a credit would be applied to my account. Since then I got an email saying that “the requested credit is being reviewed for approval! Unreal ...
