I am a brand new customer and recently traded in an iPhone 13 Pro to Verizon. I was quoted $335 trade in value. The phone was sent in last week, just received and assessed today. Their message says:
"Make/Model: Apple iPhone 13 Pro 5G in Graphite
Device ID submitted: (my phone's IMEl number)
Estimated trade-in value: $335
Actual device traded: MLR23LL/A
Actual device ID: 119840
Final trade-in value: $170.00
Adjustment reasons: We have received a different device than expected"
MLR23LL/A is NOT the model number of the phone I sent in! I have the original box and paperwork from when I purchased the phone in 2021. My model number is MLQH3LL/A — which is exactly what | submitted and sent in, "Apple iPhone 13 Pro 5G 128GB"!
The "device ID submitted" was my phone's IMEI number that they had me put in online. I have no clue where the "actual ID" came from, it's nothing I can find on any of my original phone paperwork or box.
Has anyone else dealt with this?! I am so upset and this is giving me a bad first impression of switching to Verizon right now.
