I switched over to Verizon back in late September with a trade-in device deal.  This was a deal for two phones/lines. I received our new devices, but no trade-in boxes or mailing label. So I reordered them. I mailed in the trade-in devices on 3 Oct 2023. The devices were delivered to the Return Facility on 9 Oct 2023, but the status was not updated as received.

During my first phone call with Verizon, an employee verified that the phones were received and that it would take 7 to 14 days for the status to update. Fifteen days later, The status did not update so I called again. A different employee said that the trade-ins were in their systems and it might take awhile to reflect on my account.

It is now 19 Nov 2023 and I received an email saying that my promotional credit was canceled and that I will be billed the difference monthly. Now my next monthly bill has a rather large sum that I shouldn't have to pay. I have done trade-ins through Samsung multiple times and it always went smoothly and quickly. Samsung even sends you a step-by-step process on how to prepare your trade-in by video. Verizon gave no such help or tips. Either this company likes to con you or their trade-in program needs work. This company should learn a thing or two from Samsung.

I highly suggest everyone to NEVER use Verizon's trade-in program. I wish to inform everyone how troublesome their trade-in program is. If I knew this would happen, I would've sold the phones myself instead of losing money. I will be making more calls during scheduled business hours. Thank you for your time.
