I traded in my iphone 13 in Sept and was in store to do so, the store was having issues throughout the whole transaction and the agent, while nice, was pushing for more and more products in the lulls. During our time trading in my phone, we discussed the early trade in plan and she noted I needed to pay X amount in order to qualify, I obliged because it made sense and I was looking forward to upgrading to the new iphone 15, we proceeded with this transaction and signed the agreements for what I thought was the early upgrade, she even offered to have my old phone shipped out for me from the store. Fast forward to today in December, I have had issues with my old phone not being found at the warehouse despite the tracking saying it was delivered and now, im being told I need to pay the remaining balance of the old phone because the agent put it in as a standard trade in instead of an early upgrade which is VASTLY different now that I need to pay an additional 500 dollars of the remaining balance. I feel swindled and taken advantage of because I talked to the selling agent in store and we exclusively talked about doing the early trade in program, something ive done many times, for it to be in fact not true and a rep has now said because I signed the contracts nothing can be done. Ive been with Verizon for years and never would I have agreed to upgrade if it was not an early upgrade and I was still responsible for the remaining cost of the old phone. Now im basically paying for two while I only have 1 in possession. At this post I have lost my trust for Verizon as a company that cares for their customers and I feel like a cash cow for that selling agent.
