Trade in issue

I traded in my fully paid off Samsung s23+ last year and it was only 5 months old. I decided to get an iPhone 14 and Verizon had a portion for trade in and get 800.00 credit. So I traded it in and got the iPhone 14. Now that I want to trade this in for the iPhone 15 thinking I only owe probably 1-200 bucks since I got a trade in credit of 800.00 for my last phone they tell me I need to pay off the remaining 700+ dollars to upgrade! Lol so they make money off my fully paid off phone and they also keep me locked in for three years because their promotional rebate was monthly installments over 3 years. Imagine getting a 1500 dollar bonus from your job and you decide to take that 1500 and buy a 1200 dollar phone fully paid off no payments. Then you trade that in knowing that your losing a little money because it’s only an 800 dollar trade in but hey your going to pay it off real quick cause will owe only a couple hundred dollars  and you can upgrade to the newer version later. Then you’re told you have to pay that remaining promotional balance because it hasn’t been 3 years. Lol no contracts? This is a hidden contract. I will be paying off my device because it was in the fine print and the sales associate didn’t mention anything about the 800 not being credited in full when approved. I’m double paying for a phone that was paid off in the beginning when I traded it in.

Apash2004 We definitely want to provide some information on your situation. Our trade in promotions require that you stay on your device payment agreement for the term, like all other wireless providers do when offering promotional credit for a trade in. If you decide to trade in early, you will be losing the remaining credits and will have to pay the full, remaining amount. ~Peter
