Upgrade and customer experience

We were sold a glitchy iPhone 14 as a gift to my dad for Christmas in December of 2023 in Staunton, VA. The sales person (I have his name) was waving and overriding all of the fees with his manager to make this end-of-the-year sale happen. He also made it seem easy to return with a re-stock fee even if it was after the 30-day window. 

In short, it is impossible to get true customer service help, even if you have been a loyal customer for many years. My dad could not function on the phone (handicapped). We were a few days after the 30 days when he decided he couldn't do it. THEREFORE, Verizon forced us to by the phone. We were going to sell it online, but could not reset his apple I.D. due to a "network server error," and he forgot his password. So, there was no way to reset the phone to factory mode and erase his personal information.

We have driven to the Verizon store in Staunton 4 times, and to an Apple store 2 hours away to try to reset the GLITCHY phone. For the 3rd time, the phone is "locked out" per Verizon and Apple's recommendation to reset the phone, and we have to wait another month again to attempt to reset it. Verizon keeps blaming Apple, and Apple keeps blaming Verizon for the issue.

VERIZON SOLD US A GLITCHY IPHONE AND  IS PROVIDING NO SOLUTION TO GET IT REPLACED!

Please let me know how I can file a formal complaint to an executive at Verizon in hopes to get an account credit or gift for my family's inconvenience and as reimbursement for a $800 faulty phone and travel expenses to try to resolve the issue.

If the new phone can't be replaced, then Verizon should be known as a company of false advertising of quality products, services and customer service. I will work hard to ensure that corporately and publicly everyone is made aware of this. Please contact me directly with a resolution to our situation.

CaliVa, we're sorry for the whole ordeal you have been through. This is not the experience we want for you and your dad to have. When it comes to Apple ID password resets, we have no control over this since it is an Apple account. If the device is defective, and has no physical/liquid damage we can do a warranty exchange.

We need help with a warranty exchange as soon as possible. We have utilized apple support to attempt to resent the password since January (multiple tries).

Please let me know how you can assist to start the warranty exchange. Thank you!

Yes, Not sure if you got my last message, but please assist in submitting a replacement as soon as possible through our warranty.
