Why is this plan only availabe for Florida residents. Hardly seems fair for the other states. I live in Georgia, less than 100 miles from Florida. What can you offer Georgia residents??????

The right option to fit my needs is the senior plan. I've been to many stores and nit one of them has even offered to see what they could do for us, we've been with this company 20 plus years. Verizon does not care less about helping anybody out.

If it makes you feel any better, the Blue Logo Place is exactly the same way, where only Florida residents are eligible for a 55+ discount. The Pink Logo Place does offer a nationwide 55+ discount on their postpaid plans, but I will tell you when I tried it thinking it was going to be better than my Verizon prepaid plan, it was a big case of "Magenta Status" and not in a good way. But if people around you say Pink Logo Place works great...?

I'm not an employee so I have no skin in that game. Besides I've tried one of those carriers aka AT&T. They failed in the experience. That same carrier years ago also kicked a coworker off their network after he spent two months working remotely in a location where he was roaming on a regional GSM carrier.
The other one is only in my area because they bought another carrier (cough Sprint cough) . Otherwise they didn't have ownership of the GSM spectrum they used prior to purchase of Sprint in my area as the spectrum was and is still owned by a regional carrier. That regional carrier is the same one mentioned in the paragraph above.
In short, my opinion of those carriers, are not good.

I don't work for any carrier either, but have been "moderated" in the past if it was thought I was advertising for other carriers or ISPs, so I'm pretty careful to not name anyone any more.

That's news to me. Granted I'm not going post glowing positive things about the other carriers.

@vzw_customer_support thanks for the links and details. However, that doesn't really answer the question posed in the thread. My speculation is Florida has something in the state laws requiring carriers to give a discount to older people which is why all the major carriers have a discount for Florida residents, but not elsewhere. So if you want your carrier to give you a break for living long enough, guess you could try contacting your local elected representatives regarding it.
The one carrier who is offering a nationwide 55+ discount, their parent company is based in Germany, so am gandering they are using the European model for benefits.
