Increased Bill

Very disappointed in Verizon. Just received an email advising "While we continue to offer Auto Pay benefits, your $10/line discount will be reduced to $5/mo.* and your bill will increase starting on or after 10.10.2024." Phone prices are high anyway now the "perks" are being removed?

It's just their latest incentive to get people to switch to the current plans.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I just spent over 75 minutes on the phone with Verizon.    Customer for over 23 years, now retired and on fixed income - rate increase again, or I can "save" some by losing some of myperks including the auto pay discount.  Has anyone looked into Visinle or another carrier?  Verizon doesn't care about loyalty

I hate to hear you feel this way APB71656. We do value your long relationship with Verizon. I am sure you have seen many changes over that time. Please reply to the following private message, and we can do a complete account review to make sure you have the service you need that meets your budget goals too!

they did the same to me, it’s crazy that they would choose $10 over a loyal customer.

we are currently looking to switch to mint mobile, its much cheaper for the same service

My bill just increased $30. I have two other people on my account. All of us are over 65. I am also a long time customer for over twenty years . This is ridiculous. They have me signed up for 5G plus. I did not agree to this. I have all these so called perks that I do not use. Tried to cancel this and was told I couldn’t. Definitely changing carriers after this.

I'm sorry your bill increased. We never want to see you leave Verizon. How did your plan change? When did this happen?-Joe

My bill continues to climb to the point it’s heading towards $200 a month. I have 2 phones. I have been with Verizon for many many years. As soon as I get my tax check and pay off my phones in January 2025 I am leaving. Ridiculous

My bill went up by $60 in single month for 3 of us.  Over $200 now. I've been a customer for at least 30 years and one of the discounts that went away was a loyalty discount.  I've resisted moving to another carrier all these years.  No more.  Goodbye Verizon.

I know how important discounts can be to help keep my bill within budget, and the last thing I would want to see is for you to leave us, Dshaley. I would be happy to review your account to see if there are any opportunities to cut some costs, or deliver more value. Please be on the lookout for a private message from me to get started.

I chatted with Joseph and then another customer service rep. End result is that they confirmed my account pricing changed and didn't offer anything other than switching to MyPlan which I'm not interested in.  So now it's time to look into other carriers.

Agree. Once I pay off my phones I am moving on as well. Been a longterm  customer and they just run folks off with major increases.

I have the same exact situation that you do.  Please see my  post right after yours.  This seems at the very least, unethical, and at the worst, fraudulent.  The Verizon store switched my plans for me and did not tell me about losing my device credits.  Additionally, we are stuck in the middle of these device credits, for devices we have already physically given to Verizon; however, they can at-will change the terms on their end of the agreement.  I have been a Verizon customer for 29 years and got ZERO help from Asheika in their loyalty department.  As far as I am concerned, they should shut that department down.  They add no value and it is clear that Verizon does not care about customer loyalty.  I am looking at  T-mobile options as well.  T-mobile will give you 4 - iPhone 16 Pros for a total of $25 per line per month.
