Needing help with the $200 dollar promotion when adding a new line and new phone on an unlimited plan.

I recently added my brother onto our family plan, moving his phone number from his previous carrier. He added the iPhone 17 pro max with an unlimited ultimate plan to the number.  He recently got an email saying that the promotion for a $200 was Invalid and the reasoning was that the line associated was disconnected. I'm wondering if there was an error and if I could get any help? Just some extra info, he did use his personal email to retrieve the information regarding the status of the rebate. He also used a promo where he could get credit towards the 17 Pro Max by trading in his older iPhone and the Apple Watch 11 LTE for free by adding a line for that as well.

From what you're describing, if your brother used a different promotion for getting the iPhone 17 Pro Max, then the reason why the $200 rebate is invalid is because discounts and promos cannot be combined.
