New Unlimited Plus Plan Removes Discounts

I currently have 4 lines with verizon. My main line (account owner) is running the 5G Play More plan which has a "base" price of $45 a month.
Two of my other plans have the NEW Unlimited Plus ($45/month), and one of them has the Unlimited Welcome ($30/month)
My total monthly bill after veteran and mobile+home discounts is around $169.
I was trying to change my plan (account owner) from the 5G Play More plan to the new Unlimited Plus plan so that I can swap out my unused Disney+ benefit. When I go to do this swap from a $45 Play More plan to the $45 Unlimited Plus plan, it increases my bill to over $200. The plans are the same exact price. Why is it increasing my bill by almost $40????
I noticed that when I try to switch this line to the new plan, it knocks my Mobile+home discount down to level 2 instead of the max level 3 that I have had for a couple years. I currently receive $30 a month in mobile+home discount, but the plan change was dropping it down to $5 a month.
I was originally going to put ALL of my lines on the Unlimited Plus, because it advertised that it would be $35/line for 4 lines with autopay and mobile+home discount, but when I went to switch the last line (account owner) it took away my discounts instead of increasing them. I should get another $10 a month (on top of the $30/month I get form my current mobile+home discount) so that my 4 lines would be dropped from $45/month to $35.
I spoke to at least 3 different verizon reps about this billing/discount issue over chat and they just kept telling me the discounts that I currently have and which plans I currently have - never actually addressing or acknowledging that there is an issue with how these new plans are being billed.

penguin-skip, naturally, we want you to have the best plan for your needs and benefit from any discounts & offers you qualify for. Reviewing your message, it seems like you were considering changing the AO line but hadn't made that change yet. Do I have that right?

That is correct. I have not changed the AO line because the bill estimate raises from $169 to $220 even though I am switching from a $45 plan to a $45 plan. The bill estimate for the AO plan change reduces my Mobile+Home discount from $30 a month to only $5 a month because it drops it from level 3 to level 2.
The end goal was to have all 4 lines on the Unlimited Plus because the UNLIMITED PLUS advertises a $40/month mobile+home rewards discount for 4 lines on that plan, which drops the price of each line from $45 to $35 per month. When I went to switch the AO line to UNLIMITED PLUS, it removed my $30/mobile+home rewards discount and dropped it to a total of only $5 a month. It should have instead increased it to $40/month mobile+home discount so that all 4 UNLIMITED PLUS lines would be at the advertised $35/month rate.
I spoke to 4 different Verizon representatives that just kept repeating what plans my lines were on and how much my current discounts were. They made no attempt to look into why this plan change was removing my discounts rather than increasing the discount. They didn't even seem to understand the issue.

We certainly appreciate the breakdown, penguionskip. I know that I wouldn't want to lose my discount as well, as every dollar counts these days. It looks like we will need to take a closer look into this, as we want to make sure you have the right information when making a plan change decision. Please be on the lookout for a private note from us.

Dear Verizon,
Why don’t you just delete threads like this? I wasted my time reading this, hoping for an answer to my question, only to discover that you took it to a private message. That’s frustrating. Just delete the thread if you’re not going to answer publicly.
