No phone upgrade

I am on the unlimited welcome plan. I really don’t need another plan.  Is it true that I can’t upgrade my phone on this plan unless I pay full price  for the phone ?

I always like to know my options when upgrading Rsb1970. In this case, that is not correct. If you have questions about a specific device, let us know, and we'll be glad to help out.

So what kind of deals do you have for someone on the unlimited welcome plan for a iPhone 16 pro ?

Great question! Are you planning on trading in a device? If so, what is the make and model of the device you'd like to trade in?

Exactly as I said.  There are no iPhone deals for me because I am on the lowest plan you offer.

There might not be any "deals", but you can still purchase it with the device payment agreement in 36 months installments.

Yea I know that but people on higher plans get it for free.  I’m not paying a $1000 for a phone.

Then get a different phone. I too am on a retired plan and the deals are few and far between for existing customers who also refuse to trade in their previous phone. Which is also applies to me. I recently started a new device payment agreement for a phone that costs $900 over 36 months. I was lucky to snag a promo for $100 off and a free storage upgrade. I waited over 2 years before starting another device payment agreement through Verizon Wireless because of the lack of deals that apply to existing customers and doesn't require switching plans or trading in a phone.

What I'm trying to say is I keep an eye on the availability of specific deals for my situation and if Verizon doesn't have the deal I'm willing to take, I also look at purchasing directly from the manufacturer or wait for the right price.

One last thought for the night. In the past, I noticed the Black Friday deals tend to be the ones most friendly to existing customers and don't have additional restrictions on plan or trade in requirements. If you can wait for when they announce those, you might be surprised what deals work for you. I know I got a favorable deal during Black Friday several years ago.

You will get promos and different options, but being honest, they wont be as good as if you were in a better plan
