Plan Changed Without Consent

I wanted to buy a new phone and I was told in the Verizon store I cannot get any deals without changing my plan. 

I decided I rather just buy the phone outright, I tried to buy the Iphone 15 pro max from retail price from the store and was told they can’t even allow that because of my plan, it won’t let them process a retail purchase, no B.S!

Informed me I have to buy it from apple directly then just activate it. 

I buy it from Apple, and now It won’t activate, it’s like they targeted me because of my plan.
2 hours in store troubleshooting to no avail, then 3 hours on the phone with Verizon support, finally my call drops and my phone service disconnects. 

I figured this was a good sign that my new phone would work. When I activate cellular on my new phone, it finally works! (Was happy for 15 seconds)

 

The rep in the store tells me they fixed it over the phone, but they were so fed up with the issue they changed my plan without ever authorizing it, reading a disclosure, or anything. 

Verizon support calls me back to tell me they changed my plan  since my old plan was a business plan (which I own still) and that I have to call the business department to switch it back. They said they did it because they didn’t know what else to do and now they can’t switch it back on their end

I’m not spending another 3 hours to fix their mistake calling another department

So,

- I received no discount deal on the phone and paid retail. 

-Verizon changed plan without my consent and my bill is now higher

-I have no mobile hotspot allowed on my new plan so my features are worse

 

Absolute insanity. I now have to wait 5 days for a callback from someone. Makes me want to take my unlocked retail phone to another carrier after 19 years with Verizon, 4 years on my own plan and 15 years on a family plan with them prior. Very disappointing
