Hello, I currently am enrolled in the old Verizon Plan Small 2GB. One of the perks of that plan is free HBO Max without ads which would normally cost me $15.99 a month. I am considering moving to the unlimited welcome plan but I am afraid I would lose that benefit as it is mentioned nowhere in any description of this plan. A lengthy chat with online Verizon customer support (conversation ID 51ed4ae8-7d37-4b0b-98b4-1f3ada9ffdb3 ) assures me that I can keep this benefit if I switch to unlimited welcome but I am skeptical, and if I switch plans there is no going back to the old plan. Can anyone confirm that I can switch to unlimited welcome and keep my free HBO max? Thanks.

bhulsey, not to worry I completely get wanting to confirm everything before making any changes. You and I can certianly double-check that, and then you can decide from there. I've sent a Private Note, so we can get started.

Thank you John, or Joseph, or whatever your name is today. Unfortunately the link you sent in pm was bad and resulted in the following error:

And also unfortunately my failed attempts to reply to said pm resulted in the following message so I was forced to reply here.

I am positive you would lose it from the 2gig plan. To be honest I didn’t know you could even get HBO Max on the 2 gig plan from back in the day. The My Plan allows the perks and the HBO Max that comes with the Netflix perk cannot be upgraded to ad free as of right now. Anyone that tell you otherwise is mistaken and I assure you this would be a frustrating experience. I personally think they need to find a way to make it ad free because that was the whole point of streaming vs conventional cable companies. Now that ads are here people will have to pay the difference to break away from ads again. How much more is debatable and annoying but none the less you don’t even have the option too apart from the Netflix.
