I currently have one phone line on 5G Play More and receive $ 14 Bring Your Own Device Discount every month (currently 18 of 36). If I switch my plan from Play More to the new plans, Unlimited Welcome or Unlimited Plus, will I lose this discount after I switch? I found conflicting answers from representatives and online searches. Some say that it will remain if I switch to Unlimited Plus, but it will not remain for Unlimited Welcome. Some say that I will lose it no matter which unlimited plan I switch to. Which answer is true?

We want to ensure that you have all of the details available to make the decision that is right for you and your account. Typically, details can be found in the "documents and receipts" section of your My Verizon account online, however, if you are on month 18 of 36 with the promotion, those details may no longer be available in that area. We will be sending you a Private Message so that we can access your account and confirm your specific promotion details to provide your with accurate details regarding what would happen if you change your plan.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern. Typically, changing your plan does not affect BYOD. However, we suggest you to review the promotion disclosures provided at the time of your purchase. You can view it online, please tap on the link below:

Hello,
Thanks for your response. Which document should I look into to find the promotion disclosures? I initially financed my phone with an unlimited plan with Verizon. After the phone was paid off, I switched to a pre-paid plan. A few months later, I switched back to an unlimited plan to enjoy the mobile + 5G home internet discount. That's when the BYOD was automatically added to my account. So I did not receive a promotion disclosure or understand how it worked. It just happened. I checked my documents, but I only found the monthly bills. Where can I find the promotion disclosures?

From your earlier posts and from checking the link the CS rep provided, I'd have to say you are currently on a contract. If you change your plan in any manner, it will be considered breaking the contract and your BYOD credits would stop.
If this is about the $5 autopay reduction for legacy plans, just as an FYI the current plans do not include any perks, and if you go on MyPlan you are required to buy additional perks, which means extra charges being tacked onto your bill on top of the base rate for the service plan. Considering how the perks are in the $10/month range, I'd say paying $5/month for your current perks included in the legacy plan is still a better bargain. There have also been instances where someone changed out their legacy plan and then their legacy Apple perks in particular got "broken" to where they don't work anymore...
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Thanks for the advice. Yes it is about the $5 reduction on auto pay discount. But I also do not use any of the perks I currently have. So I was thinking that switching to an unlimited plan without perks would help save some money. I would check on the contract issue before making a decision. Thanks so much!
