All that being said good luck with your wireless printer. A static IP address is definitely a good idea, but the nature of wireless tends to not fit well with printers. You should strongly consider installing the printer via an Ethernet cable or sharing it via a PC over a USB connection. Ethernet cable printers can still be accessed over wireless so the only real limitation is the placement of the router and the printer along with the cable necessary to connect them.
