Verizon 4G LTE Router suddenly reset to defaults

When I tried to use my 4G LTE Router today, I discovered that I couldnt connect to it or the internet and very few of the lights on the front were on. I had to power cycle the router and the lights looked normal again but soon discovered that it had somehow been set back to the factory defaults. The wifi password, admin password, settings, etc were all back the the default settings. I managed to get everything back to the way it was except for trying to disable UPnP, which now seems locked to being enabled and wont allow me to change it. Im wondering if a new firmware was pushed out to it recently or if something else may have happened.

- Anyone else having similar things happening to their router?

- What firmware is everyone using on their 4G LTE Router? Mine says its at V3.2.3.55 at this time.

- Wondering if I should get a Cradlepoint router instead. Anyone have any pros or cons about moving to one of those devices?

Verizon shows the current version is V3.2.2.35 - 11/23/2013 in this PDF:

Sorry, I can't find any information about your version.

If you're interested in Cradlepoint, check out the 3GStore.com. You can get a Cradlepoint or Pepwave router with embedded 3G/4G AT&T, Sprint, Verizon modem. The 3G Store's technicians can assist in all aspects of the sale as well as support after the sale.

Thanks for the info. It would appear that Verizon has pushed out a new firmware that may have caused the router to lose its settings. Im also unable to find any information about this firmware version.

Im going to look in to Cradlepoint as ive heard a few good things about them. I hope they are more stable when it comes to receiving firmware updates from a cellular provider.

You're welcome, glad to offer it!  I agree, Verizon has pushed you new firmware. Maybe if you keep an eye on the PDF it will eventually be updated.

I wouldn't think either Cradlepoint or Pepwave forces updates down your throat. These are advanced devices, they tend to cater to advanced users that don't need a nanny.
