Cloud doesn't see photos to upload even though checked the box

I've never backed up an old Motorola Droid phone. Upgraded from the free account so could back up everything and move to a new phone.  I checked the boxes to upload contacts. photos and documents.  The contacts transferred fine but a message says I have no documents or photos on the phone.  How can i help the cloud to see those files on my phone?

I can understand how important it is to move your media from one device to another. Cloud should automatically detect any media files that are on the device. What model Motorola do you have?What exactly did you upgrade (storage)?  AlbertoR_VZW
