We can relate to how important storage can be, merrymar.

What type of content are you looking to delete? (contacts, pictures, texts, media files, etc.)

Are you using our website or your device to access the cloud?

Thanks for your reply. I found the tiny icon "multiple select" with

sub-icon "delete" and that worked fine.

The photo /count /diminishes as I delete but I don't see any empty

/space /showing on the storage bar after deleting almost 200 photos. Is

it stuck in trying to upload everything on my drive in the background?

Also, the 1600 or so photos there are without time sequence, in random

selection and order. If I can't designate what is to be archived here, I

can't use it. My drive has roughly 200,000 photos on it but I want to

try to organize on the free space before I commit to paid space.

Thanks for any comments on this you may have.

Hi, did you ever get any help with this?  The only thing I told it to back up is my contacts but it's backing up files or something.  I don't like not knowing what's in the cloud and I think I should be able to manage it easier.

I totally agree. So hard to download all your pictures and remove them from Verizon cloud.

Did you remember to empty the trash?  Deleting stuff on the website moves it to the trash can, like the windows recycle bin or mac trash.  You need to empty it there before it frees up your storage.  Also, it seems to take a little bit of time to reset after emptying the trash.

You can check how much storage is being used and what type of data by using the website, go to the settings on the left side of the page and then click on storage usage.

If you want to see where it is coming from, the trick I found was to go to the list view and click on photo info for photos & videos or go to the all files view and drill down on each device type.
