Downloading from the cloud without using data?

Can I download photos/videos from the cloud to my laptop without using my data? I want to transfer these but that is 25 gigs, I do not have WiFi at home, which is another story Smiley Sad

There is a desktop app that can be used to move between cloud and your laptop, however this will need an internet connection as well....

Thanks for the info, so after I download the desktop app, will it still us my data when i transfer the photos from the cloud to the desktop app? Sorry I do not understand much about the cloud process so any help is greatly appreciated!

Moving photos, downloading, uploading, or otherwise, uses data to make the transfer.  Whether that data is using your cellular, a broadband, hard wired connection, your internet cable connection, depends on your situation.

What internet do you have at home?  You said no wifi - is it DSL?  Cable? Satellite?

I feel your pain with the boondocks UNIONCOCUTIE I am in that same boat. One nice thing about our town thou is that most places like stores and offices have dsl that is a lot better then we have out here on the county roads. When I go into the doctors office it really feels like I live in the civilized world again. Do you have any place like that in your town that has free wifi like restaurant coffee shop even Mc donalds have free wifi. Buy a burger and take your laptop with you

yes, I can do that but I i was thinking as much as I am paying a month you would think I could at least could transfer my photos without using my data, lol. I should been transferring all these pics and videos before they filled up the whole 25 gigs of the free cloud storage I guess.

I hate to use the cloud because it almost always uses my data or for some reason or another you can't get to it because they are having some kind of difficulties. I have a samsung S7 edge and use smart switch to transfer pictures or what ever to my computer. If you have a laptop how big is the hard drive on it most of the new computers or laptops come with a huge hard drive on them now. What kind of phone do you have? What type of laptop do you have?

As far as how much we pay you are right you would think that they could come up with something better when it comes to the cloud or what ever we use to backup our phone
