I had 515 contacts on my desktop cloud. All my phone contacts disappeared. I initiated a sync from the desktop cloud to push those 515 contacts from the desktop cloud to my phone. What happened is the syncing went the wrong direction. Now all my desktop cloud contacts are gone. What should I do?

Check the trash folder in the cloud to see if they are in there and you can pull them out.
Where is the trash folder located on the online Cloud portal? Unfortunately, it’s not obvious to me.
