How can I exclude pictures, videos and music files from cloud backup? These typically take up a lot of space, exceeding my cloud storage. I don't need them backed up to the cloud. I copy them out to a computer/external hard drive manually as backup. I want to use cloud backup only for other files than these. I would assume cloud backup has a way to choose what types of files to backup, and which types to exclude from backup.

I used the desktop app to manually removed photos, video, etc. which had
been uploaded from my smartphone to Verizon Cloud and freedom up space.
HOWEVER, the files were subsequently automatically reloaded to the Cloud
again, filling my Cloud space.
I need to know how to exclude photos, videos etc. from future backups to
the Cloud. That has been my question all along. How can I pick and choose
what gets backed up and what gets excluded?
Regards,
Dennis

Let's make sure those precious memories are safe and sound the right way. Are you looking to keep the pictures on your phone after the original backup and removal? Once saved from Cloud to your computer can also free up space on the phone by removing the picture from device.

You are not answering my question as I asked it.
I have thousands and thousands of pictures on my phone, and many large
videos. These exceed my cloud storage. I NEVER want them backed up to
the cloud. I do not want to delete them from my phone (although some day I
may delete certain sets of pictures when I want to).
I am simply looking for a way to have certain types of files never get
backed up to the cloud. I want to be able to choose what gets backed up to
the cloud and what doesn't.
My picture files and videos will never be small enough to fit in the
cloud, and I have no wish for them to go to the cloud. I don't want all the
many, many gigabytes of files I have backed up to the cloud. I want to
choose what gets backed up. It will never be picture of video files, and
probably never will be music files either.
Please tell me how to exclude these files from backup to the cloud ... not
how to delete them after they get backked up, but simply how to NOT have
them backed up at all.
Thank you,
Dennis

I was wondering the same thing. I didn't see a way using the website, but did find something using the Cloud app on my phone. Select Settings from the main menu of the app, and then under "What to Backup" you can unselect Photos, Videos and Music. I just did that for Videos; crossing my fingers that this actually works!
