How to start a backup of photos on phone to the cloud without access to the phone app?

I've locked out my phone and don't remember my backup pin.  My phone will factory reset automatically after 10 failed pin attempts.  Is there a way to initiate a backup of photos on my phone using my online cloud account or the cloud desktop app?  When logging into my online or desktop cloud account, I can see currently backed up photos and download them to my computer, but they are old photos.  So I don't think I have photo backup enabled on my device right now.  I've downloaded the photos and deleted the content from the cloud to make space for new photo backup.  I just don't know how to initiate a backup remotely without accessing the cloud app on the phone, which I don't have access to.

The device is a Samsung Galaxy S5 in case you need to know.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
