How to stop Verizon spam notifications

I keep getting notifications for some spammy photo printing service from verizon cloud. How do I turn off these notifications while still receiving notifications for when I run out of space? Other answers by verizon say that it is a new feature and they havent had time to give the option to disable the spammy notifications on the app.  That was a lie. We all know it. You know it.

But now it's been almost a year and verizon still hasn't done anything. Now it is neglect. Or just hatred or being unconcerned about bothering millions of your customers.

How do I disable this unnecessary photo printing notification????????

Hello.

There is no need to uninstall the app to stop Notificaions.  In the Settings Page of the Cloud App you will see a category for "Notification Manager".  Open this and you will have a variety of options to stop receiving notificaitons and other alerts that are cloud related.
You may also open the Device App Manager, and in the Cloud Section, tap on 'Notifications' (android 8.0+).
Note: While this will stop the device tray notificaiotns and App Badge, if will not then also remove teh feature related to it (ie: Flashbacks Tab, Stories Tab, Message Center).

Hope this was helpful.

We know how important it is to only get notifications that you want, bcollins281. We are here to help review those alerts. The only way to stop those notifications is to un-enroll from Verizon Cloud. The alerts to offering the photo printing service is part of the Cloud service.

We apologize, but at this time there is no way to stop those notifications when still wanting to use the Verizon Cloud service.

This is unacceptable!

I've been a VZW customer for many years. Now your telling me that I can NOT utilize the cloud backup service that is included with my plan without receiving these spam messages??

I dont think so. I will disable the Verizon Cloud service for good and solely use another backup app.

And when I am ready to upgrade my cell phone and wireless plan, I will be moving to another carrier/provider that does not force spam on thier customers in order to use thier cloud backup service.

I agree that this is completely unacceptable.  I don't pay Verizon to spam me. I did not receive these messages until I got a new phone last month. Explain that one... And then give us the option to opt of your ridiculous spam.

Hey Verizon.  This is a stupid answer.

So my only options are to uninstall the App or disable all notifications.  The former means I can't use the service.  The latter means I don't get useful information.

I AM NOT PAYING YOU $240 PER MONTH TO SHOVE YOUR INANE JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ADS DOWN MY THROAT.  PLEASE IMAGINE SOME VERY SELECT CURSE WORDS WRITTEN HERE.

Did I already say this is a stupid answer?

Chill. Like the other person said. Go to Settings > Notifications > Find the app named 'Cloud' and disable notificationg.

Just an update.

The google notification setting will impact all notifications from the cloud app.  We added a feature now that you can select what type of cloud application notifications you want to receive.

If you have a current version of the Cloud app, you can open the Cloud app, go to Settings, go to Notifications manager and select which type of notifications you wish to stop receiving.

hmmm, that's odd.  What version of Verizon Cloud app do you have?

When I go to the cloud app, I tap the 3 horizontal lines in upper left, I then tap the gear icon, it's there, right below Manage Storage

Verizon sales management needs to read these messages and understand the frustrations of users who are bombarded with ads.  "We" realize business is "for profit" but how far to you push your subscribed customers to a brink of inundating them with ads or spam or just unnecessary and distracting notifications?

I'm frustrated with the Verizon adds, telling me about my rewards, etc.  But I had to turn off notifications of my usage and other . . more important information off.  . in an attempt to stop this.  I'm hoping the Verizon Cloud suggestion will stop these notifications.  But I'm sure this also turns off all usage notifications, like. . what if your data is getting low, or something important to your usage of Verizon and your phone service?

Get a clue, Verizon!  Make your app work for your customers, and stop trying to push added profit making via alternative ads and opportunities.  Understand that "some" customers, JUST want to use the basic service you provide and we pay for and that all.

KeithFrancis, we appreciate your efforts, and I am truly sorry to hear that you have experienced so much frustration with the alerts through Verizon Cloud. I apologize if updating this setting causes you to not receive other alerts in the application. You can visit Verizon Cloud through My Verizon as well to manage data, review alerts and see what is currently backed up in your Cloud.  http://spr.ly/6609Gge03

Found the disable. Strange that the notification is "Cloud" and not something more specific like "Marketing".

If you found the notifications in your device's notifications settings the you are blocking  ALL cloud notifications which is why it said cloud.

You can turn off the Cloud related in app notications by going to the Cloud app, go to Settings, go to Notifications Manager and switch off Prints & Gifts to stop the photo sale offers.

This is what you should see in the cloud app.  If you're seeing anything else, send a screenshot along with your mobile number and Verizon Cloud app version to [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] for the developers to investigate further.

Photo blankets and mugs are actually popular items but if you aren't interested in receiving notifications about offers from our photo printing feature, simply go into the Cloud app, go to Settings, go to Notifications Manager and switch off Prints & Gifts to stop the photo sale offers.

There is no "Notification Manager" in my Verizon Cloud settings. It is the latest version and yes I already attempted blocking these inane spams from my phone's app manager, they still arrive annoyingly every day. You claim photo blankets are a popular item but I guarantee that less than one in 50, 000 customers buys one. The other 49, 999 of us are just annoyed we can't turn off your stupid Verizon spam. So my good people the solution is to uninstall the clunky Verizon Cloud, which looks like it was a collaboration between a community college advertising major and a 5 year old, and use Googles much more elegant backup services.

Hmmmm, that's really odd.  I just upgraded my Verizon Cloud app to 19.6.7 to make sure I had the latest and it's still there in the Cloud app settings ( you have to open the cloud app, tap the menu icon on the top left and tap settings) under the Manage Storage option.

There you can control all kinds of cloud app  notifications,  including the Prints & Gifts notifications that you were most concerned with.
