I got a samsung s7 about a month ago and all my pictures/contacts/videos were accessible through the verizon cloud app. As of yesterday, I can no longer access the content so I cleared data and cache, forced stop. It still didn't work so i uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I cannot even logon to the app anymore. When I try to login it says "Verizon Cloud has encountered an error. Please close application and try again (code:7500)" I once again tried clearing data and cache, forced stop uninstalled/reinstalled but every time i login I still get the same error?????

As the original person starting this thread, i also can confirm that i now have all of my cloud content once again as well. Same situation as citrine above where I was notified of a story and to my surprise found all my pics, videos, docs, etc.

I just posted in another thread. They told me the Cloud is restored. It's NOT. I believe all of my data is gone. VZ has been telling us the same thing for almost five weeks. They have already lost a number of folks and I will never store a single file on a VZ phone again... assuming I'm still with them. It's been sixteen years with VZ and they have tested me and failed me on this Cloud problem. I lost two contracts in business because I could not access the files on the VZ Cloud. All VZ does is tell me the same excuse all the time. In all my years online which is well over twenty five, I have never seen a bogus situation like this one. VZ should be ashamed at themselves and their... so-called vendor.

Today an update to Verizon Cloud app appeared in my Google Play Store update list. Interesting the release date says 2/8 but it was not there until today.
I updated, and now I can't even get to the home screen where at least my Contacts have shown backed up.
'Error Downloading Application Configuration' now which was the error I was receiving when it first went down umpteen weeks ago.
Are we moving BACKWARDS....?

I just updated my version from 16.5 to 17.1. Still the same stuff. It actually backed up my contacts that I have put back in my phone but it will not update our upload to the cloud the rest of the information on my phone. This is not the same problem that I have been having because that is still ongoing with not being able to access info stored already on the cloud.

And the cloud is still saying that my cloud is full at 5 gb but there is still no content showing! Cmon Verizon at least communicate with us. This is pathetic customer service.

Let's work together to make sure you are able to view all of your information. Our first step is to make sure you have gone through the content restore process: Menu icon > Content Restore > Check off desired content. If your content is displayed, we recommend using Wi-Fi (so you don't use your data) before tapping restore. Please keep us posted.

Nope. Have tried this as well numerous times over the last almost 2 months. Nada. Storage obviously contains my photos based on amount used but not viewable. 'Temporarily unavailable', 'Cannot connect at this time', 'Optimization initializing (endlessly)' errors on and on.
Uninstall, reinstall, clear cache, reboot phone, desktop, Kindle, Wifi, data, etc etc etc.
IT DOESNT FUNCTION CORRECTLY. NO PHOTOS just texts and contacts. 'Computing...' 'computing....' 'computing...'

The date is now 3/3/17. What a joke. I just had an agent actually tell me to use iCloud instead. Problem is all of my info is in Verizon land and is inaccessible. Love it.

Okay. Finally spoke with someone that actually admits that they do not know when things will get back to normal. They have removed eta's for now until they figure out what exactly is going on.
I, for one, have lost all confidence in Verizon and their "free" service that I actually PAY for. I have been looking into the feasibility of going to another provider simply because I'm out of my contract with Verizon. There has been no talk of compensating me for this GREAT inconvenience, so that tells me that Verizon really doesn't care about me as a customer.
If Verizon really doesn't believe that this had been a GREAT INCONVENIENCE then I suggest they get ready for losing my account.
Good luck with Yahoo, Verizon. I also suggest no one use yahoo simply because Verizon is buying it, so I'll be discontinuing my yahoo email as well.
For those that use Yahoo, have you noticed that when you click a link from the main page that you go to a page that has yet another link to go to the story. That folks is ad revenue.

Agree completely! Verizon and their so called vendor are so incompetent, it's quite pathetic. Leading all of us on for over five straight weeks with the texts that the Cloud will be repaired by such and such a date. I'm taking the position that it's month to month for me as I've been off contract for years. I went toe to toe with another supervisor yesterday and his promises of repair were so hollow, it was ridiculous! I asked for compensation and that's not being considered at any level at VZ. Promised return calls from upper level managers and executives have continually and repeatedly gone unheeded. That's OK... I'm reducing my data from the once unlimited to the lower levels and further reducing my monthly bill. They're Fedexing me over nite a refurbished Note 5 and ballistic glass protector to mollies me. I've been given over one hundred bucks in credit though I asked for more because of the lost contracts with the backup data unavailable with the Cloud down. I've been Nickle and dimed to death by VZ and as mentioned, they've got 4.5 BILLION to buy Yahoo but they REFUSE to REALLY compensate business customers like myself and other customers with MANY years experience. I'm truly tired of Verizon and from now on will only give them the barest amount necessary. VZ... you messed up big time on this one! I and others will NEVER forget!

You said that they haven't compensated you, but then you say they're overnighting you a phone and $100?
That's way more than they've done for anyone!

I asked FOR A LOT MORE and the hundred bucks was over five weeks. You've got to push them hard... yesterday, I was polite but relentless. They messed me up out of two huge contracts due not being able to access my files on the Cloud. Maybe YOU should push hard and push them into the corner and nail them. I've been with VZ for SIXTEEN YEARS AND HAVE PAID THEM CLOSE TO 30K. They broke promise after promise. The replacement phone, I don't need. It's their way of mollifying me. I don't view this as compensation! I've got to spend fours hours setting the replacement up. I asked them for a new S7 but they have not budged. I don't care what they or anyone says... it's their problem and they're holding a tight line. My money, my choice going into the future.

So, March 3rd has come and gone. "Can't connect to Cloud" on my phone and "Oops! Something went wrong" on the desktop. Still nothing. Have been with Verizon since they became Verizon Wireless.....so, a LONG time! This is so not acceptable and I keep trying to be patient, but I gave up patience for Lent. Maybe the Cloud will resurrect on Easter Sunday? I've given up checking on a daily basis. HELP!!!!!!!!

Activity on this thread has stopped so i am curious to see the status of everyone else. I am now able to see my pictures/videos on verizonwireless.com so I know it hasn't been lost. However, the app is still not working. I currently cannot open the app. It just says cloud has stopped and i have the option to restart app or send feedback. anyone else?????

You should totally try logging into the webpage....I just logged into my Verizon account through browser. I went to My Cloud (Manage Products and Services) and all my photos are THERE.....even photos I've taken on my phone today (even though the app doesn't show any)....

I thought it was just me. Verizon deactivated my phone instead of my tablet. Well now my whole cloud is gone! The numerous people I spoke to said that is why it isn't there anymore, because of the deactivation. Now I wonder if there is a deeper problem....

Losing your information and saved pictures would be heartbreaking for me. I know those are moments that are special as well. Did you have a backup stored anywhere else that you know of?

Same old thing here. Contacts and texts in Cloud but no photos or documents. Storage used would indicate photos are.....somewhere....but not anywhere I have been able to see or access in approx. 2 months.
Random 'unavailable at this time' etc errors in app. Blah blah blah. Just now uninstalled app, cleared cache, and reinstalled.
Nothing new. So disappointing Verizon.
