Retrieve Deleted Photos from Verizon Cloud.

My photos have been deleted from the Cloud and I really need to retrieve one that has sentimental value. How do I do this?

For everyone asking about their Cloud content suddenly disappearing because they didn't upgrade from their free service to either 500G/1TB.

If you've had the Cloud service removed from your phone number because you didn't upgrade to 500GB or 1TB and it's been less than 30 days, you must:

  • call support at 800-922-0204
  • Have them put 500GB or 1TB on your phone number
  • Have them "Unarchive" your content
  • Have them double check the unarchived content is in the storage size (500G/1T) that you asked them for.

Once they do that, if you don't seen the restored content in your mobile app, re-install it (or Clear data if you know what that means) to refresh the local database on the phone.

On the web, is it in the Trashcan? If it is not there, I'm not sure it is retrievable. I hope someone else has better news for you.

Thanks, but not sure where they are. They disappeared when I did not upgrade to Verizon's Cloud that is no longer free.

Maybe they are still there, but maybe you'll have to pay to get access to them. I'm not sure.

Sorry to hear abou the missing content, Dcraig2. We know photos can be really important so we want to help. Do you know approximately how long ago these photos were lost, or when you last saw them?

I last saw them just prior to the Verizon change where if we did not agree to pay for the Cloud, we would not be able to use it any longer. I made the error of thinking that it meant I would not be able to add more to the Cloud, but not that I would lose everything as had stored there.

Ah. Thanks for the clarification, Dcraig2. Promotions for free media storage on the Verizon Cloud have been coming to an end and require a selection of a premium Cloud feature to continue. There's still a possibility we can restore your media access if we work quickly. I have sent you a Private Message here in the forum. Please access https://community.verizonwireless.com/inbox to continue.

Hello,

I have this same problem... can you please help me recover my lost media, too? My phone corrupted my SD card and when I took it to the Verizon store store, the rep said this is a known problem with Samsung phones since the S4. So the data that was in the Cloud is my only chance at getting those precious memories back.

Thanks,

Gia

Hello,

I also had this happen this morning. I understood I would have access to my photos but not be able to add any new ones. Is there any possible way I can retrieve the old photos? I have photos for I absolutely need for work as well as photos that were not saved on any other device but the Verizon cloud. I received the notification that the cloud was closed this morning so Im really hoping the photos are still accessible, even if I sign up for the plan. Please help!

MARLUS81,

We're happy to help. For those customer who took no action after the Free Cloud feature was removed, you would be able to restore the previously saved content within 30 days of removal by adding a Cloud feature. You can easily subscribe through your My Verizon application from your phone or by visiting our website online here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/solutions-and-services/verizon-cloud/.

Ok. I've purchased cloud storage. Now how do I get all of my pictures back?

I chatted on my phone with a rep, who started a case number for me. I

called after 30 mins when the chat info was loaded to my account, and

called the tech support number they gave me.

After they restored the files on their end, I cleared the cache in the app

and signed back in. Everything was there! As long as you do it within 30

days of your cloud account being closed, your stuff is still on their

servers and can be retrieved.

Hope this helps!

I've had this exact same issue.  Please help me restore content.  I've subscribed to a Cloud plan within the 30days.

Thanks

It's been over a year since I lost my photos on Verizon Cloud. Are they gone forever?

We're sorry to hear your pictures were removed with Verizon Cloud, Edwinolivo. Once the pictures are removed, we would not be able to retrieve them. Did you by chance back up your device any other way?

I have a similar issue, I was unaware the app was changing, if I received any warning I just didn't see it and I use the cloud weekly. I had over 2000 photos a week ago and when my Verizon Cloud app updated I have nothing. After calling customer service I added Verizon Cloud Premium to see if I could recover my content, however I can not restore the photos I had before. Can you please help me with this? I'm a little frustrated because I had already exceeded my free 500 GB and paid for extra storage before so I wish I had had better notice that the app was changing. I have no issues paying for it now but there are over 2000 photos that I no longer have.

I have this same issue. I know I was able to access my cloud photos in the last 14 days. I have precious memories from children's births to photos of loved ones that have since passed away. Is there any way to recover my photos?

You better call 800-922-0204 or *611 before your photos can no longer be restored.
