Because I backed up everything in Verizoncloud, I now have duplicate information within my contacts. I backed up everything to Verizon cloud because of the message that it would be lost on 6/29. They aren't duplicated contacts but duplicated information I.e. duplicate addresses . Each contact contains two icons: a phone and the cloud. How do I get this cleaned up without having to go to each I individual contact? I'm afraid of losing my contacts if disable, turnoff or uninstall the Verizon cloud. Can the cloud icon be removed from the phone and not remove the contact?

Which model phone do you have? You normally have a settings option from within the Contacts app where you can choose which contacts to display, and you should be able to disable displaying Cloud contacts there.

I have a Samsung S3. This is what I have under the Contacts settings
Contents to Display option, I see the following: all contacts, phone, my
Gmail account, cloud and customized list. Phone is selected (not cloud).
My issues are: 1) the cloud icon displays in all my numbers (how to
remove this) AND 2) many of my contacts display duplicate addresses,
not full blown duplicate contact but a duplicate address within the contact
(how do I get duplicate addresses removed without having to go to each and
every contact to make the correction).
To help you in providing assistance, I also add that under the settings
and under Accounts, the display shows my Gmail account and the cloud.
