How does one back up text messages in Verizon cloud? I've enabled backing up of text messages in the Cloud app, but it never has.
If you go into the Cloud app, click on the 3 bars in the top left corner, scroll down to Settings. Choose what you want to back up, how to back it up (Wi-Fi, data) and when to back up. This will set the automatic backup feature. Also, if you click on the three bars again, there will be an option Back up Now, simply click that to back up the data now. If you have a lot of data to back up it is best to use Wi-Fi. You will be prompted that the data is being backed up and once it complete.
Yes, I've done that. I've not been able to successfully back up or restore anything for about a week. Talked with customer service rep last night and they indicated they're having server problems. There was no definite answer on when they would be operational.
We see. May we ask what model device you are using? KleoL_VZW

In the Cloud App, open the Hamburger Menu (Navigation Menu on the left) and tap the Gear Icon on the top. This will open the settings page. In Settings, tap on "What to Back Up". Then Select "Messages"
This is for Premium Users. If you are a free user you would be in the Contacts Only version, and can not then back up messages.
This also only applies to Android Devices, as iOS does not permit us to back up messages.
Your initial backup will only be the last 90 days. subsequent backups in to Cloud will gather more of your total date range. This was done to to volume issue slowing down the initial backups.
